Pragser Wildsee

The valley road is now closed to through traffic in the high season and entry is timed and ticketed, because the number of cars arriving exceeded what a dead-end alpine road can hold. A place that has to meter its own entrance is no longer a quiet place, and the shoulder weeks have followed the summer. We listed it. We were part of that.

A lake at the head of the Pragser valley in the Dolomites, reached by a single dead-end road, now managed with vehicle access restrictions and timed entry in the high season.
